Assistant Chief Engineer

About the role

Radisson Hotel Group is looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. The role plays a vital part in ensuring the property delivers an experience beyond expectations, keeping all areas maintained to the highest standards and improving guest satisfaction and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth running of the property maintenance department, with all areas kept to the highest standards.
• Work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, responding positively and on time to guest enquiries.
• Develop and implement plans so that property maintenance initiatives and hotel targets are achieved.
• Lead and manage the maintenance team, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance.
• Prepare and control the departmental budget, including costs and inventory, while attaining productivity and performance levels.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Establish and deliver an effective planned preventative maintenance programme covering maintenance, environmental and conservation matters.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, with due diligence, best practice and documentation ready for internal and external audits, with follow-up as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property maintenance with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent leadership skills, with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service and a passion for the hospitality industry.
• Ability to find creative solutions and offer advice and recommendations.
