Assistant Director of Finance – Health Resort

About the role

The Assistant Director of Finance will support the financial leadership of Amaala’s health resort, ensuring the property meets its strategic profitability goals while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This on‑site position works closely with the Director of Finance and hotel leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing the resort’s financial strategy and aligning operations with strategic objectives.
• Support the development and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and spending controls.
• Review financial performance, reconcile accounts, and prepare actionable insights for senior management.
• Oversee core finance functions including Accounts Payable, Credit, Payroll, Revenue Analysis, and Night Audit, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and coordinate internal audits.
• Authorize ledger reconciliations, tax filings, and payroll transactions to guarantee accuracy.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate finance team members, fostering professional development and high performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent.
• Professional accounting membership (CA, CPA, ACCA) highly desirable; SOCPA membership required or eligible.
• 3–5 years of finance management experience in a hotel or resort environment.
• Hands‑on experience with revenue analysis, A/P, A/R, general ledger, and payroll.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and pre‑opening finance operations is a plus.
• Strong hospitality mindset, leadership orientation, teamwork focus, and a sense of ownership.
