Assistant Director of Finance

About the role

Accor is looking for an Assistant Director of Finance in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to assist the Director of Finance in overseeing the hotel's financial operations and accounting functions. This is a high-impact role with growth opportunities for an ambitious applicant, open only to Saudi nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and monthly financial reporting
• Monitor financial performance, GOP, operating expenses and profitability
• Ensure compliance with Accor financial policies, internal controls, IFRS and local regulations
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit and general accounting
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial risks
• Analyse financial results and recommend improvements to operational efficiency and profitability
• Support cost control initiatives and partner with the General Manager and department heads on financial decisions
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
• Lead, coach and develop the Finance team and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel finance, preferably within an international luxury hotel brand
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Assistant Director of Finance is preferred
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage

Required skills

• Hotel accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Good understanding of IFRS, internal controls and statutory compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hotel financial systems such as Opera, SUN or SAP
• Analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills
