Associate Director, Legal & Compliance – Middle East

About the role

Gilead is seeking an Associate Director, Legal & Compliance for the Middle East region. Reporting to the Legal & Compliance Director ME, you will lead a best‑in‑class compliance program while providing high‑quality legal support to business operations across the region. The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day compliance activities for Gilead KSA Affiliate and the broader Middle East region.
• Manage transparency reporting, ensuring accurate and timely disclosure of transfers of value in Saudi Arabia and GCC markets.
• Administer regional transparency reporting systems and maintain data quality.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments, monitoring, and mitigation across commercial, medical, market‑access and functional teams.
• Develop and deliver employee and third‑party compliance training programs.
• Implement policies and ensure effective compliance oversight in cross‑functional activities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, promoting a strong culture of ethics and integrity.

Required profile

• Proven experience counseling prescription pharmaceutical companies in the Middle East.
• Strong background in strategic compliance leadership and legal business partnering.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
