Associate – Structural Design Lead (Jeddah)

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Associate Director / Associate – Structural Engineering to expand its structural engineering team in Jeddah. This senior position will coordinate the local design office, manage delivery of major building projects, strengthen client relationships, and drive business growth across the Kingdom.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a primary client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Lead business development activities, including client meetings, networking, proposal preparation, presentations, and bid submissions.
• Lead the structural delivery of complex building projects, ensuring quality, technical excellence, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams, review structural calculations, reports, drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate structural engineering resources within the Jeddah office to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, and deliverables to meet client expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 18+ years of experience in structural engineering, including delivery of major building projects.
• Proven experience in client interaction, stakeholder management, and business development.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience in fee proposals, scope definition, and contract negotiations.
• Extensive knowledge of Saudi, regional, and international design codes and standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000).
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and BIM platforms.
• Expertise in reinforced concrete and steel structure design.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian and international design codes.
