Banquet Manager

About the role

Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Riyadh is looking for a Banquet Manager to oversee and lead its Banquet department. The role covers the daily operation of banquet functions, including in-house and ODC events, and links food and beverage with entertainment to deliver a seamless experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the Banquet department and ensure Mövenpick standards are met
• Manage daily banquet operations, including in-house and ODC events, and keep the banquet floor staffed appropriately
• Check daily casual staff grooming, Ajeer permits and iqamas, and send non-compliant staff back to the company
• Organize storage areas, keep them clean and well maintained, and ensure equipment is ready for each service period
• Control cash handling, oversee the cashier and floats after events, and ensure banquet event orders are reviewed and shared with the team
• Lead daily and weekly meetings, run pre-shift briefings and train the team on operating standards
• Source and audition entertainment and decoration options, and review organizer and guest feedback to improve service
• Drive performance appraisals, coaching and performance management with Human Resources
• Adhere to fire, hygiene, health and safety policies and maintain HACCP or similar sanitation certificates
• Handle security incidents and guest complaints professionally, and master all POS systems

Required profile

• Ability to manage a large, mostly casual workforce with quality staff management skills
• Creative, confident and entrepreneurial, willing to step outside comfort zones
• Committed to service excellence, teamwork and continuous self-development
• Full knowledge of the property's products and services and of the local market
