BMS Systems Engineer

About the role

The BMS Systems Engineer will operate, configure, and optimize the company’s Building Management System (BMS) built on Johnson Controls technology (Metasys or FX). The role ensures reliable performance of automated systems such as HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, access control, and energy metering across all projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, configure, and maintain the Johnson Controls BMS to achieve optimal uptime.
• Monitor alarms, graphics, logic sequences, and trend logs for accurate system operation.
• Integrate and maintain connections with HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, access control, and energy systems.
• Plan and implement system upgrades, enhancements, and network reliability improvements.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and communication issues and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Lead technical reviews, support commissioning, and evaluate vendor submittals for compliance.
• Analyze data trends to identify performance issues and energy‑optimization opportunities.
• Prepare technical reports, KPIs, and maintain up‑to‑date system documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Building Management Systems with direct Johnson Controls expertise.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Johnson Controls Metasys UI and configuration tools.
• SCADA or CAFM platforms.
• Excel and Power BI for data analysis.
• Communication protocols: BACnet, Modbus, KNX, OPC.
• Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, access control, and energy metering integration.
