Building Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Building Maintenance Supervisor will oversee new project implementation and the day‑to‑day maintenance of SACO premises across the assigned region. This role ensures that stores and facilities are kept in optimal condition, providing a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff while controlling costs and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in preparing scope of works and cost studies for new projects in the region.
• Supervise, coordinate and monitor construction activities, working closely with consultants and contractors as directed by the Engineering Manager.
• Plan, schedule and dispatch maintenance teams to address preventive and corrective tasks for SACO stores and premises.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Arrange service contracts with equipment manufacturers (e.g., elevators, escalators) for breakdowns, repairs and periodic maintenance.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend qualified contractors and suppliers for construction and maintenance work.
• Prepare CAPEX/OPEX, payment, petty‑cash, travel and overtime requests, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Handle petty‑cash for regional maintenance expenses and report spending accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months (3 years) of experience in building maintenance, construction supervision or related engineering functions.
• Proven ability to coordinate with contractors, consultants and store managers.
• Experience preparing cost studies, CAPEX/OPEX requests and managing petty‑cash procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
