Business Officer (Core Labs Operations)

About the role

The Business Officer ensures the smooth execution of business operations within the organization, reporting to the Business Officer Lead and working closely with Core Lab directors and lab staff on the non-technical side of Core Labs. The role oversees and manages end-to-end business and admin operations, anticipates risks and offers proactive solutions, covers several Core Labs and acts as absence cover for other business officers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day business operations and administrative tasks.
• Manage administrative support for Core Labs operations and staff.
• Coordinate travel, visitor gate passes, transportation and logistics.
• Support recruitment, interview scheduling and onboarding of new hires.
• Process procurement requests, shopping carts and vendor registrations.
• Handle invoices and reimbursements and follow up on payments with finance teams.
• Maintain office supplies inventory and coordinate operational requirements.
• Prepare quotations and contracts and maintain business documentation.
• Liaise with internal departments and external vendors for operational support.
• Support financial reporting and ensure accuracy of operational data.
• Provide operational coverage during absences and support process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in administration, business operations or finance roles.
• Professional level of English communication.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with SAP, Ariba or similar financial/procurement systems; experience with such systems is an advantage.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to multitask with multiple stakeholders, and good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
