CAD Draftsman

About the role

STYRO 3D is seeking a technically strong CAD Draftsman to produce accurate fabrication, production and installation drawings for custom architectural, scenic, exhibition and 3D fabrication projects. The role bridges design concepts and real‑world manufacturing, working closely with project managers, designers and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D CAD, shop, fabrication and installation drawings from approved concepts, 3D models, sketches and site data.
• Convert architectural and creative designs into production‑ready technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, exploded and assembly views.
• Produce dimensioned drawings for steel structures, timber, EPS/Styrofoam, GRP/Fiberglass, polyurea, CNC‑cut components, ACP, acrylic and decorative cladding.
• Coordinate with CNC/Robotics teams to ensure files are suitable for machine production and optimise material utilisation.
• Review designer/client drawings, identify missing dimensions or conflicts, and issue revisions based on production feedback.
• Conduct site measurements when required and generate as‑built drawings after project completion.
• Maintain drawing numbering, revision control and project documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of CAD drafting experience, preferably in event, exhibition, scenic, architectural or steel fabrication.
• Proven ability to translate 3D designs into manufacturable components and understand workshop tolerances and assembly methods.
