Chefs Leader - Industrial Camp Dining

About the role

Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR), a mining and precious-metals company producing certified bullion, is looking for a Chefs Leader in Riyadh to oversee all culinary operations in its industrial camp and corporate dining facilities. The role ensures high-quality, safe and nutritious meals, adheres strictly to SFDA regulations and internal HSE standards, and reports directly to the Camp and People Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement weekly menus that meet diverse cultural and nutritional needs within budget.
• Enforce HACCP and SFDA food safety standards so there are zero non-conformities in audits.
• Recruit, train and manage kitchen staff to cover 24/7 operations and Saudization targets.
• Monitor stock levels, coordinate with procurement and minimize waste and spoilage.
• Analyze food cost reports and take corrective action to keep costs in line with the budget.
• Conduct daily hygiene inspections of kitchens and equipment.
• Collect employee feedback on food quality and service, and liaise with approved vendors on quality and supply issues.
• Prepare and label meals correctly for employees with specific medical or religious dietary needs.
• Maintain contingency plans for power outages, equipment failures or other disruptions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in high-volume kitchen management in industrial or corporate settings.
• Proven expertise in SFDA regulations and HACCP.
• Strong financial skills, including budgeting and food cost control.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; experience leading multicultural teams in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Valid Saudi driving licence and clean driving record.

Nice to have: experience in mining, oil and gas or heavy industrial camps; ISO 22000 or Lean Six Sigma certification; familiarity with digital inventory and kitchen management systems; track record of reducing food waste.
