Civil Engineer – Airfield (Saudi National)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Saudi national Civil Engineer with a strong background in airfield works to support construction supervision and field engineering on a major airfield infrastructure project. The role involves ensuring that all civil works meet design specifications, quality standards, and aviation authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support inspection and supervision of airfield civil works, including pavements, subgrade preparation, base courses, and surface finishes for aprons, taxiways, and runways.
• Verify that construction methods, materials, and workmanship comply with approved drawings, specifications, and ICAO/FAA standards.
• Identify and report non‑conformances, coordinating corrective actions with contractors and senior engineers.
• Review contractor submittals, method statements, and material certifications for compliance.
• Assist senior engineers in evaluating design deviations and field issues.
• Provide on‑site technical guidance, interpret drawings, resolve field issues, and coordinate interfaces with utilities, drainage, and airfield systems.
• Support testing, commissioning, and verification of constructed works.

Required profile

• Saudi national with at least 5 years of experience in airfield or large‑scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity with international airfield standards (ICAO/FAA) and aviation authority requirements.
• Proven ability to review technical submittals and manage non‑conformances.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in a construction environment.
