About the role
The Civil Technician will support the civil and structural infrastructure of a chemical manufacturing facility. The role focuses on routine maintenance, repairs, and ensuring all civil work complies with strict health, safety and environmental regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Repair and maintain walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows and other building components.
- Fix cracks, leakages, damaged finishes and structural defects.
- Carry out minor construction, renovation, masonry, plastering, painting, tiling and concrete repair tasks.
- Assist with waterproofing, grouting and sealing operations.
- Conduct inspections, report major defects and ensure proper tool and material handling.
- Ensure all civil activities meet HSE regulations such as OSHA, EPA and WHMIS and follow required safety permits.
Required profile
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial or chemical plant installation or maintenance.
