Clinical Resource Nurse

About the role

The Clinical Resource Nurse coordinates, implements, and evaluates clinical educational programs to help nursing and allied‑health staff integrate new knowledge and maintain competency. The role supports high‑quality patient care by delivering competence‑based training and fostering evidence‑based practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate education plans for initial and ongoing competency validation, adapting content to learner needs.
• Deliver competence‑based programs for nursing and allied‑health staff, focusing on skill improvement and knowledge retention.
• Design core education targeting specific patient populations and leadership development.
• Prepare and maintain accurate educational materials across various media formats.
• Promote evidence‑based practice, participate in research, and support JCIA or other accreditation processes.
• Report adverse events, incidents, and near‑misses; contribute to investigations and KPI monitoring.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and collaborate with charge nurses to align practice with best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (minimum 3‑year study).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and/or Master’s in Nursing or Health Services Management.
• Valid, current nursing registration.
