About the role
The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing overdue accounts within the health insurance portfolio, focusing on complex and high‑value debts. Working closely with the Credit Control Department, the role ensures timely payment, resolves disputes, and supports cash‑flow improvement through effective collection strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Handle collections for the overall health portfolio, notifying clients, brokers, and internal sales teams about due premium installments and endorsements.
- Follow up regularly with clients, brokers, and agencies to secure prompt settlement of outstanding and overdue premiums.
- Establish and maintain effective payment collection processes for active accounts while preserving strong relationships with clients and brokers.
- Communicate via email, phone, or in‑person visits to facilitate payments and address payment‑related concerns.
- Document collection status, update due/collected payments, and track collection performance.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports highlighting updates, unresolved issues, and progress toward collection targets.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable.
