Communications Specialist – Strategic Communications for Education

About the role

We are looking for a Communications Specialist to support strategic communications for the Education & Advancement sector in Saudi Arabia. You will create high‑quality written, visual, and digital content that aligns with KAUST branding and communication standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and edit corporate communications, reports, newsletters, presentations and digital assets.
• Support communication campaigns, strategic initiatives and leadership messaging.
• Create executive‑level presentations and visual materials using PowerPoint and Canva.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, designers and external vendors.
• Manage event communications, branding materials, invitations, signage and digital assets.
• Maintain communication calendars, project trackers, timelines and approval processes.
• Ensure all materials meet quality and brand guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Graphic Design, Journalism or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing or a related discipline.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading and storytelling abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Canva.
• Experience in visual storytelling, presentation design and corporate branding.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination and project‑management skills.
• Experience in higher education, government, research or corporate environments is a plus.
