Search Engine Optimization Manager

About the role

Mahally, the Saudi marketplace of Salla, is looking for an SEO Manager to own its organic search strategy end‑to‑end. You will drive technical SEO, content growth and AI‑driven discovery across a massive, constantly changing catalogue of stores and products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO for a marketplace at scale, managing crawl budget, indexation, canonicalisation, pagination, faceted navigation, internal linking, sitemaps, Core Web Vitals and JavaScript rendering.
• Design and grow durable organic landing‑page types (category, collection, brand, city, intent, comparison) that are independent of individual merchants.
• Define and execute Mahally’s strategy for generative and answer engines (GEO/AEO), including structured data, entity clarity and AI crawler policies.
• Own measurement tools (Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/Semrush, log‑file analysis) and build reporting that ties organic traffic to sessions, orders and GMV.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Content and Merchant teams to turn SEO opportunities into prioritized, measurable initiatives.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably on a large‑scale e‑commerce platform or marketplace.
• Proven track record managing SEO for sites with 100K+ indexable URLs, solving index bloat, faceted navigation and crawl‑budget challenges.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate organic performance into business impact (qualified traffic, orders, GMV).
