Construction Supervisor - Civil

About the role

Parsons is looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor – Civil to lead structural inspections on a variety of building projects. The role ensures that all structural elements are built in accordance with design specifications, codes and industry standards, supporting the delivery of safe, high‑quality constructions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of foundations, beams, columns and other structural components.
• Verify compliance with design plans, specifications, applicable codes and standards.
• Document findings, prepare detailed inspection reports and flag any deficiencies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to resolve issues and maintain project quality.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews throughout construction.
• Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Assist in developing and updating inspection procedures and maintain organized records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience inspecting structural components of high‑rise buildings.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction methods and relevant codes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inspection tools and inspection software.
• Understanding of local, state and federal regulations and codes.
• Certification as a Structural Inspector (e.g., ICC Structural Inspector) is preferred.
