Consultant ICU / Critical Care Physician

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Consultant Intensive Care / Critical Care Physician to join its clinical team. The successful candidate will provide senior-level care to critically ill patients and help deliver high-quality intensive care services. The position is full time and is open only to male candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment and management of critically ill patients and lead the clinical management of ICU admissions.
• Manage complex medical and surgical critical-care cases and perform and supervise appropriate critical-care procedures.
• Take part in emergency response and resuscitation and work with multidisciplinary teams such as emergency medicine, anesthesia, surgery and others.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients.
• Take part in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff and trainees, and contribute to departmental teaching and professional development.

Required profile

• Medical degree such as MBBS, MBChB or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Critical Care, Intensive Care Medicine or an appropriate specialty pathway relevant to the intended SCFHS classification.
• Consultant-level clinical experience in Intensive/Critical Care, with demonstrated experience managing complex critically ill patients.
• Recognized Western qualification in line with the employer's criteria, eligible for SCFHS professional classification at consultant level, and valid professional registration or licensing in the country of current practice.
• Ability to provide the documentation required for SCFHS qualification verification and professional classification.
• Bilingual Arabic and English communication skills.
