Cost-Benefit & Optimization Analytics Specialist

About the role

The contractor will deliver cost‑benefit and financial optimisation analyses to evaluate investments and vendor engagements. The role focuses on providing data‑driven insights that support financial governance, value realisation and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse budgetary and planning data, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Collect and analyse project and operational cost data, resource consumption and forecasts.
• Prepare cost‑benefit and financial optimisation analyses for investments and vendor engagements.
• Develop value‑for‑money dashboards and benefit‑realisation forecasts.
• Create optimisation scenarios for contract scope, vendor pricing and resourcing models.
• Provide recommendations on vendor selection, contract restructuring and investment prioritisation.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and assess associated risk trade‑offs.
• Prepare executive‑level summary reports covering ROI, pay‑back period and total cost of ownership.
• Communicate findings through reports, presentations and briefings to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong experience in planning, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and reconcile complex financial and budgetary data.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong reporting and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills within organisational and subcontractor environments.
