Cost Control Manager – Food Manufacturing (Riyadh)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cost Control Manager to lead the costing function for a food manufacturing operation that produces bakery, pastry, sweets and related FMCG products. The role will ensure accurate product costing, monitor production expenses and drive margin‑improving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost‑control and product‑costing activities across the factory.
• Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor, packaging and overhead.
• Calculate product costs using recipes, BOMs, yields and routing data.
• Monitor actual costs versus standards and budgets, analysing variances.
• Review food costs, wastage, spoilage and production losses.
• Oversee inventory valuation and reconcile raw material, WIP, finished goods and packaging stocks.
• Allocate direct and indirect manufacturing costs accurately.
• Analyse profitability by product, category, customer and channel.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Support pricing decisions with cost and margin analysis.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, Sales and Finance teams.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, forecasts and management presentations.
• Contribute to budgeting, month‑end closing and reporting.
• Improve costing policies, internal controls, reporting tools and ERP costing processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification (CMA, CPA, ACCA or SOCPA) is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing cost accounting or cost‑control experience.
• Proven experience in a factory environment, preferably food, bakery, pastry, confectionery or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOM costing, inventory valuation and variance analysis.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo or similar).
