Customs & Government Relations Specialist (Saudi National)

About the role

AquaChemie is looking for a Saudi national to manage and coordinate all customs, government authority, regulatory and administrative requirements for its chemical trading and distribution operations in Saudi Arabia, with a primary focus on Jubail. The role covers customs clearance, duty exemptions, refunds and labour formalities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customs clearance and import documentation for chemical shipments in line with Saudi regulations.
• Coordinate customs duty exemption applications and approvals for eligible shipments.
• Follow up on refunds and recovery of customs duties, deposits and other refundable amounts paid against shipments.
• Maintain shipment-wise tracking of duty payments, exemption approvals, refund claims and outstanding amounts.
• Liaise with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) for approvals, permits and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with ZATCA, customs authorities, customs brokers and other government departments.
• Handle Saudi Chamber of Commerce procedures, document attestation, certification and commercial formalities.
• Manage government portal transactions, registrations, licences, renewals and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate labour formalities through Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem and Mudad, including work permits and Iqama renewals in coordination with HR.
• Maintain accurate records, follow up on pending applications and resolve regulatory and system issues.

Required profile

• Saudi national only; minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably in Jubail or the Eastern Province.
• Hands-on experience in customs clearance, duty exemptions, refund recovery and Royal Commission coordination is essential.
• Experience in chemical trading, distribution, petrochemicals or industrial companies is preferred.
• Proactive, organised, with strong follow-up, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of Saudi government portals, Chamber of Commerce procedures and labour regulations.
