About the role

Cafe Lilou, a sophisticated dining destination in Al Khobar, is looking for a Demi Chef de Partie to join its kitchen team. The role supports the Chef de Partie in running a specific kitchen section such as pastry, hot or cold, in a fast-paced brigade environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in the daily operations of a specific kitchen section (pastry, hot, cold)
• Prepare and cook assigned dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards
• Ensure mise en place is ready and organised for service
• Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the section during service
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene regulations
• Collaborate with other kitchen team members for smooth service
• Receive and store ingredients properly
• Contribute to menu development and innovation as required

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role in a reputable restaurant or cafe
• Ability to work well in a busy kitchen brigade and in a fast-paced environment under pressure
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Proficiency in cooking techniques and knife skills
• Solid understanding of kitchen operations
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards
