Design Engineer - Wet Utilities

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Design Engineer specialized in wet utilities to join its engineering team. The role involves creating detailed designs, specifications, and procurement documents for water distribution and sewer networks, supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop drawings, specifications, and construction‑ready documents using CAE/CAD tools.
• Perform engineering calculations, material takeoffs, cost estimates, surveys, and design studies.
• Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Review supplier drawing sub‑mittals and assist with technical bid analysis.
• Issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and junior engineers on project tasks.
• Carry out additional duties as required to support project success.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficient use of CAD and standard engineering software packages.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of CAD and CAE applications.
• Experience with hydraulic design software, specifically Bentley WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS.
