Director of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)

About the role

The Group is seeking a seasoned Director of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) to design and lead an enterprise‑wide GRC function across its diversified businesses in Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the role offers high visibility and direct interaction with senior leadership and board committees.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the Group‑wide GRC strategy, policies, standards and procedures.
• Build and maintain an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring and reporting.
• Oversee regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with Saudi laws and industry regulations.
• Design and monitor internal control systems across all subsidiaries and business units.
• Develop the Group’s risk appetite, risk registers, control frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
• Provide senior management and the Board with clear, actionable insights on governance, risk and compliance matters.
• Identify emerging risks and advise leadership on operational, financial, regulatory and strategic implications.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, Legal, Finance, HR, Operations and business leaders to ensure an integrated GRC approach.
• Lead, develop and mentor the GRC team, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• 12+ years of professional experience in governance, risk, compliance or internal controls, preferably within large, multi‑entity organisations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Law, Accounting or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in establishing and scaling GRC functions at the group or enterprise level.
• Strong understanding of ERM, corporate governance, compliance frameworks and internal controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

• Professional certifications such as CRMA, CISA, CIA, CRISC or CERM.
