Director of Internal Audit Excellence

About the role

HUMAIN is seeking a Director of Internal Audit Excellence to lead and elevate its Internal Audit function. Reporting to the Chief Internal Audit Officer, you will shape audit methodology, quality assurance, reporting, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance internal audit methodologies, frameworks, standards, and practices.
• Lead the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) and prepare for external quality assessments.
• Ensure consistent risk‑based audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow‑up.
• Oversee audit performance dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting.
• Drive capability development, competency frameworks, training, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Champion internal audit transformation, including modern analytics and technology adoption.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Technology stakeholders to strengthen governance.
• Lead and develop high‑performing internal audit teams.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in internal audit, assurance, or related fields.
• Significant experience in audit excellence, quality assurance, or internal audit transformation.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing senior professionals.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, QAIP, governance, risk management, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to produce executive reports and manage audit performance metrics.
• Excellent strategic, analytical, communication, and change‑leadership capabilities.
