Director of Operations – Luxury Resort (Saudi National)

About the role

Raffles The Red Sea is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Operations to lead all operational aspects of its luxury resort in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. The role oversees daily operations, drives strategic initiatives, and ensures the highest standards of guest experience and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies and policies aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
• Oversee all operational departments, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and security.
• Manage operating budgets, monitor financial performance, and analyze KPIs to optimize profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operations team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety protocols, and international hospitality standards.
• Maintain and enhance guest satisfaction through quality assurance programs and proactive issue resolution.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement for cost‑effectiveness.
• Conduct regular property inspections and implement corrective actions to uphold facility standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on revenue optimization, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
• Prepare and present detailed operational reports, performance metrics, and recommendations to executive management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive operations management experience in luxury hospitality.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale resort operations with multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
• Expertise in P&L management, financial analysis, and budget optimization.
• Strong leadership and team‑development abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality operations, guest service standards, and industry best practices.
• Experience with property management systems and hospitality technology platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian business practices, regulations, and cultural considerations.
• Project management experience and ability to implement operational improvements.
• Proficiency in data analysis and performance‑metrics interpretation.
