Director of Sales

About the role

Radisson Hotel Group, one of the world's largest hotel groups with ten brands and more than 1,400 hotels, is looking for a Director of Sales in Riyadh. You will drive performance, inspire a high-energy team and take sales across a portfolio of hotels to the next level.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare the hotel business plan, focusing on sales objectives and revenue generation, and assess short- and long-term sales goals against the hotel's strategy.
• Monitor room night production, revenue, account production and business conversion, proposing corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain and update files for corporate, group, government, travel trade and other key accounts, and set and negotiate corporate rates.
• Conduct regular market and competitor analysis, identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase room nights and revenue.
• Handle group and individual sales enquiries and reservations, and follow up confirmed and tentative business.
• Build relationships with local and international clients through calls, visits and meetings, and keep them informed of hotel developments and offers.
• Supervise the SAP Cloud customer database and ensure fair account distribution among sales team members.
• Plan and coordinate trade shows, exhibitions, workshops, road shows and sales blitzes.
• Prepare the annual sales budget and manpower forecast, monitor performance against budget and targets, and schedule staff by business levels.
• Select and recruit sales staff, provide training and coaching, identify promotion candidates and run monthly departmental reviews.

• Proven leadership experience in hotel sales with a strong track record of driving performance.
• Commercially astute, highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ambitious, results-oriented and excellent communicator and negotiator.
• Clear thinker with attention to detail, able to build lasting partnerships and enhance the hotel's reputation in the community.
