End User Computing Analyst

About the role

The End User Computing Analyst provides technical support to faculty, staff and departments at KAUST, ensuring reliable operation of desktops, laptops, peripherals and related systems. The role involves diagnosing, resolving and preventing hardware and software issues while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose and resolve hardware, software and peripheral issues across university‑supported devices.
• Install, configure and maintain personal computers, operating systems and related equipment in line with KAUST standards.
• Perform integrated hardware/software troubleshooting, addressing system conflicts, failures and configuration problems.
• Provide timely technical assistance to faculty, staff and departmental support teams.
• Maintain and track IT assets, including acquisition, distribution, movement and disposal.
• Identify and remediate unauthorized or unlicensed software installations.
• Document user requests, incidents, resolutions and change requests in the service management system.
• Deliver training sessions on end‑user technologies and best practices.
• Lead small‑scale technical projects, handling planning, risk assessment and stakeholder communication.
• Mentor junior technicians and coordinate with the Help Desk for consistent incident handling.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of experience in end‑user computing support.
• Proven ability to mentor junior staff and lead small‑scale technical projects.
