Endocrinology Registrar (Telemedicine)

About the role

The Telemedicine Endocrinology Registrar provides specialist care for patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders using virtual platforms. Working under consultant supervision, the registrar delivers patient‑centered care remotely while continuing professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct remote consultations for acute, chronic and complex endocrine conditions using video, phone and secure messaging.
• Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans, including medication management, referrals and lifestyle advice, based on digital data and patient‑reported outcomes.
• Monitor treatment adherence and outcomes through remote patient‑monitoring systems and ensure safe prescribing practices.
• Coordinate follow‑up visits, both virtual and in‑person when necessary, and document all encounters in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with consultants, subspecialists and allied health professionals via telehealth platforms for multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects, value‑based care initiatives and telemedicine‑driven endocrine programs.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Residency training in Internal Medicine.
• Fellowship training and certification in Endocrinology.
• Saudi Commission for Health Specialties registration as an Endocrinology Registrar.
• Proven experience in endocrine clinical practice and population‑health management.
• Strong clinical judgment, analytical ability and excellent communication skills.
