Engineer II, Production Planning

About the role

The Engineer II, Production Planning will support the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process for polymer and chemical assets, ensuring balanced decision‑making across supply chain, marketing and operations. The role is based in Jubail and focuses on delivering accurate production plans that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Illustrate polymer and chemical production planning to stakeholders and ensure yearly grade‑wise business splits align with the S&OP process.
• Monitor JV off‑takers, maintain compliance with off‑take agreements, and support smooth execution of supply‑demand plans.
• Maintain the IBP module in SAP, entering production data accurately and timely.
• Align manufacturing budgets with business grade‑wise targets during the SBU PetChem budget cycle.
• Track customer complaints, balancing satisfaction with process efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to define and execute common business processes.
• Oversee day‑to‑day planning and scheduling activities to meet performance targets.
• Provide analysis, data reports, and statistical insights to management and other departments.
• Track and report S&OP compliance and supply‑accuracy KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning or related petrochemical functions.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with the petrochemical sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP (IBP module).
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of IBP planning tools.
