Engineering Launch Manager

About the role

Lucid Motors Middle East is seeking an experienced Engineering Launch Manager to lead Plant Vehicle Engineering for interior, exterior, seating and restraint systems during vehicle launch and production ramp‑up. The role connects product engineering, manufacturing, quality and supplier teams to ensure safe, high‑quality vehicles and rapid issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Build and coach a high‑performing engineering team, managing performance, succession planning and career development.
• Lead the engineering escalation process for launch, production, supplier and quality issues, owning ICA and PCA execution.
• Drive structured root‑cause analysis (5 Why, fishbone, 8D, FMEA) and ensure corrective actions are validated and closed.
• Define clear roles, responsibilities and escalation paths across cross‑functional teams.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, suppliers and program management to remove roadblocks and meet safety, quality, timing and cost targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive or related engineering discipline.
• 8 + years of automotive engineering experience with leadership or people‑management responsibility.
• Proven experience supporting vehicle launches, production ramp‑ups and structured corrective‑action processes.
• Ability to work with global teams across North America, Europe and the Middle East, including flexible meeting times.

Required skills

• Root‑cause analysis methodologies (5 Why, fishbone, 8D, FMEA).
• Launch execution mindset with strong problem‑solving capability.
