Field Service Engineer – MEAT & CIS

About the role

Leica Microsystems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the MEAT & CIS region. The role focuses on rapid resolution of complex customer challenges, advanced installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance of microscopy systems used in life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on microscopy equipment.
• Collaborate with MEAT & CIS channel partners to provide training, technical guidance, and support for complex cases.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge proactively.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and project plans to ensure service quality and business growth.
• Identify improvement opportunities and act as a change agent to sustain effective processes.

Required profile

• Proven technical expertise in repair, calibration, maintenance, and upgrade of microscopy systems.
• Ability to resolve complex customer issues quickly and effectively.
• Strong collaboration skills across multiple business levels and functions.
• Experience creating documentation and driving process improvements.
