Field Specialist Drilling Optimization Engineer

About the role

Join Baker Hughes’ Drilling Services team as a Field Specialist focused on drilling optimization. You will work on‑site with cutting‑edge equipment, solving complex operational problems and collaborating with global development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver drilling optimization support to Baker Hughes Drilling Services operations.
• Support digital solutions through Kantori Optimization services, Drilling Analytics (including Corva) and autonomous directional drilling applications.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and knowledge‑management initiatives across the organization.
• Assist with software field testing and integration of new technologies.
• Act as liaison between local and global teams for technology development and enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with Baker Hughes global standards, policies, procedures and the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) Management System.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Petroleum engineering preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of field experience with Baker Hughes Drilling Services technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience in directional drilling or drilling engineering.
• Background in artificial intelligence and machine learning is a plus.
