Finance Manager - Saudi Arabia & Bahrain

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company with over 2,500 laboratories and 99,500 professionals, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager based in Saudi Arabia. The role oversees the financial performance and strategic financial direction of its operations in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability, giving divisions visibility into their financial performance and alerting them to variances against budgets, forecasts or trends.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-term financial plans aligned with strategic goals.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, tax laws and SGS financial policies, and promote and implement financial policies, procedures and controls.
• Oversee internal controls, audits and risk management, monitor cash flow and optimise working capital.
• Lead and develop the finance team, support cross-functional teams with data-driven decisions, and partner with operational leaders on efficiency and cost optimisation.
• Support M&A activities, business expansions and strategic initiatives, and engage with auditors, banks and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Proven finance leadership experience in large organisations, especially in financial planning, analysis and reporting within a project-driven or technical environment.
• Experience in a multinational environment.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial modelling and forecasting.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Odoo or similar ERP tools.
