Financial Audit Expert

About the role

The Financial Audit Expert will provide high‑quality assurance on PIF’s finance‑related activities, focusing on non‑investment areas. The role ensures compliance, safeguards the Fund’s interests, and drives operational effectiveness through rigorous audit and advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver objective assurance on the control environment of PIF’s non‑investment functions, covering the second line of defense.
• Develop, implement and gain approval for a risk‑based internal audit plan for non‑investment areas.
• Provide technical advisory support on finance‑related matters and PIF projects.
• Assess and monitor the closure of audit observations within required timeframes.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems and risk‑management processes.
• Advise on risk assessment, annual audit planning, budget, and resource allocation.
• Liaise with audit standards bodies, governing policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present assurance updates to the Head of Internal Audit and share technical knowledge across the division.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on strategic and special projects directed by the Audit and Compliance Committee.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in finance, audit or internal control.
• Professional certification such as CPA, IIA Internal Audit Practitioner or equivalent is preferred.
