About the role

The Manager – Fire, Life and Safety leads the fire and life safety function, ensuring compliance with Civil Defence and Saudi Building Code requirements. You will drive risk‑based, performance‑oriented processes and support safe development across all projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define strategy and operating model for fire and life safety.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, and decision‑making protocols.
• Align practices with Civil Defence and the Saudi Building Code.
• Promote risk‑based, performance‑based, outcome‑driven approaches.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of fire and life safety approvals, inspections, licences, certificates and NOCs.
• Submit monthly reports to Civil Defence and ensure readiness for final inspections.
• Allocate fire and life safety resources across tasks and priorities.
• Resolve high‑level stakeholder issues and represent the organisation in strategic forums.
• Lead implementation of digital permitting platforms and automation tools.
• Introduce risk‑based screening and fast‑track mechanisms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of progressive experience in fire and life safety engineering, regulatory compliance or fire code enforcement.
• At least 3‑5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• In‑depth knowledge of Civil Defence requirements, the Saudi Building Code, and international standards such as NFPA and IBC.

Required skills

• Fire Protection Engineering principles.
• Understanding of Civil Defence regulations and Saudi Building Code.
• Familiarity with NFPA and IBC fire safety standards.
• Experience with digital permitting platforms and automation tools.
