Floor Supervisor – Airport Baggage Operations

About the role

The Floor Supervisor ensures the smooth operation of the assigned airport floor, leading the baggage handling team to meet performance targets. This full‑time, on‑site role coordinates daily activities, maintains quality standards, and acts as a role model for Vanderlande’s values.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the floor and the performance of the floor team.
• Allocate floor workers to tasks and supervise their execution.
• Monitor site workers’ performance, behavior, and compliance with company rules.
• Supervise progress, work quality, and provide on‑the‑job training for new or less experienced staff.
• Report operational, maintenance, and cleaning issues to the Shift Leader or Vanderlande Control Room.
• Maintain communication and coordination with site workers and the operation control room.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechatronics, Control & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or high school with 2‑3 years airport‑related experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience operating automated systems and leading baggage operations.
• Strong supervision and communication abilities.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
