Freight Forwarding Operations Manager

About the role

Vault Logistics is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Manager to lead end‑to‑end freight forwarding activities in Jeddah. The role will ensure smooth operations from booking through billing while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and control SOPs covering booking, billing and shipment closure.
• Manage documentation, customs compliance, carrier coordination and milestone performance.
• Oversee Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, manifest, FASAH, cargo‑release and delivery processes.
• Control operational costs, prevent gross profit leakage and uphold approved service levels.
• Handle shipment exceptions, claims, delays and customer escalations.
• Develop the operational framework for export and feeder‑vessel activities.
• Coach the operations team and work closely with sales, pricing, finance and branch management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10–15 years of freight forwarding experience, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in multimodal freight operations (ocean, air, cross‑border road).
• Solid knowledge of import/export, customs clearance, documentation and regulatory compliance.
• In‑depth understanding of Saudi Customs, FASAH, ports, airports and terminal procedures.
• Experience in transport planning, carrier management and route optimisation.
• Familiarity with NVOCC, feeder‑vessel or shipping‑line operations is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, customer service, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
