General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions. You will work closely with internal teams to maintain compliance with IFRS and local regulations while supporting the finance department’s operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise supplier invoice processing, perform three‑way matching, and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Manage customer invoicing, credit assessment, collections, and aging analysis.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal.
• Maintain the general ledger, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and assist with external audits.
• Support budget preparation, monitor financial performance, and identify risk areas.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant accounting experience.
• Understanding of IFRS and local accounting regulations.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
