General Manager – Plastic Manufacturing Plant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead a plastic manufacturing facility that produces disposable items such as cups, plates, containers, forks and spoons. The role is responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring product quality, and delivering continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all factory operations and manufacturing activities.
• Develop and implement operational plans aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor production performance, productivity, capacity utilization and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate effectively between Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Supply Chain and other functions.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce waste and lower costs.
• Ensure consistent product quality and compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Manage raw material inventory, production resources and operational expenses.
• Establish and track operational KPIs and performance targets.
• Analyze results and implement corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
• Lead continuous improvement projects across manufacturing operations.
• Develop and manage high‑performing operational teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and health & safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Procurement and Supply Chain to support overall business performance.
• Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• 15+ years of professional experience in manufacturing operations.
• Strong background in the plastic manufacturing industry, especially disposable products.
• Previous senior leadership role in a factory, plant or manufacturing operations.
• Deep knowledge of production management, manufacturing processes, quality, maintenance and cost control.
• Proven track record of improving productivity, operational efficiency and manufacturing performance.
• Strong leadership, planning, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple manufacturing functions and operational priorities.
