General Manager – Property (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

This executive leadership position is responsible for shaping and executing the property and real‑estate strategy of a leading retail conglomerate operating across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The General Manager – Property will oversee the entire property portfolio, secure strategic retail locations, and drive development projects that support the company’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a property strategy aligned with business objectives and expansion plans.
• Lead site acquisition for new supermarket and retail locations throughout Saudi Arabia.
• Conduct market evaluations, feasibility studies, and recommend investment decisions.
• Negotiate lease agreements, renewals, rent reviews and manage related contracts.
• Maintain relationships with landlords, developers, consultants and government authorities.
• Oversee store development, fit‑outs, refurbishments and property enhancement projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Optimize the property portfolio to reduce occupancy costs and maximize asset value.
• Lead facilities and property maintenance functions to achieve operational excellence.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure plans.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, zoning requirements and legal obligations.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing property team.

Required profile

• Executive leadership experience in property or real‑estate management.
• Proven ability to develop and execute property strategies that support business growth.
• Strong negotiation skills for lease agreements and contracts.
• Experience managing relationships with landlords, developers, consultants and government bodies.
• Track record of delivering development projects on time and within budget.
• Capability to oversee budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure planning.
• Knowledge of local regulations, zoning requirements and legal obligations in Saudi Arabia.
