General Practitioner

About the role

The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population, delivering high‑quality medical services in an outpatient setting. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing illnesses while fostering long‑term health relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments.
• Diagnose a wide range of medical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor medications, ensuring efficacy and managing side effects.
• Provide preventative care, including immunizations, health education, and screenings.
• Refer patients to specialists when further evaluation is required.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Perform minor surgical procedures as needed.

Required profile

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) licensed by the Saudi Council.
• Completion of a residency program in family medicine or general practice.
• Board certification in family medicine or a related specialty (preferred).
• Clinical experience gained during residency; additional experience is advantageous.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver patient‑centred care.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related medical technologies.
• Competence in performing minor surgical procedures.
