Head of Public Policy – Saudi Arabia

About the role

Amazon’s International Public Policy team is seeking a Head of Public Policy for Saudi Arabia to lead engagement with policymakers and NGOs, supporting Amazon’s consumer‑centric business model across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Work with policymakers and non‑governmental groups to support Amazon’s consumer‑centric business model in Saudi Arabia.
• Maintain an astute understanding of the public policy and regulatory environment and its key stakeholders.
• Coordinate across Amazon’s business units locally and globally to develop and implement positioning and engagement strategies.
• Design external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, partnerships, and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Manage Amazon’s engagement with industry associations, wider coalitions, and consultancy support.
• Develop solutions for complex business problems and provide clear guidance in high‑ambiguity situations.
• Operate respectfully and collaboratively within regional and international structures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of public policy experience.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (read, write, speak).
• Advanced degree in a related public policy field is preferred.
• Experience working in a highly matrixed environment alongside legal, PR, and business teams.
• Background in public policy for consumer‑facing technology or retail companies.
• Strong project‑management, communication, judgment and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to coordinate internal and external resources and operate effectively in ambiguous situations.
