Health Educator – Diabetes Care

About the role

My Clinic, a leading multispecialty outpatient care provider in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Health Educator to deliver clinical advice and education to individuals living with or at risk of diabetes. The role focuses on supporting patients through lifestyle changes, medication management, and self‑monitoring to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist people with diabetes, their families and caregivers to gain knowledge, skills, motivation and confidence to manage the condition.
• Educate patients on diabetes complications and its relation to other health conditions.
• Provide guidance on medication safety, insulin therapy techniques and side‑effect management.
• Teach self‑monitoring of blood glucose, including technique, result interpretation and goal setting.
• Introduce, demonstrate and install continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices and insulin pumps to improve quality of life.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members such as GPs, endocrinologists, dietitians, physiotherapists and pharmacists.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a diabetes education diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in diabetes education or a related clinical field.

Required skills

• Diabetes education and counseling.
• Medication management safety, including insulin administration techniques.
• Self‑monitoring of blood glucose and interpretation of results.
• Installation and education on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices.
• Training on insulin pump usage.
• Ability to set health goals and implement strategies to achieve them.
