Hotel Technician

About the role

The Technician performs general maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work across hotel facilities and equipment so that operations run smoothly and safely. The role supports the Engineering team in keeping high standards of safety, efficiency and guest comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair in hotel rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and plumbing issues
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly
• Carry out preventive maintenance as scheduled
• Ensure equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently
• Assist with installation of new equipment when required
• Maintain maintenance records and report completed work
• Follow hotel safety standards and coordinate with other engineering team members and departments
• Support emergency repairs when needed

Required profile

• Technical diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance or a related field
• Previous experience in general maintenance or hotel engineering is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems
• Good communication skills in English (basic spoken and written)
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if required
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance

Required skills

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
• Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures
• Ability to read basic technical manuals and drawings
