HVAC Technician – Engineering (Jabal Omar)

About the role

The Jumeirah Jabal Omar hotel in the Holy City is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join its engineering team. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal climate control across guest rooms and public areas while ensuring safety and energy efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC plant rooms, equipment and work areas according to approved schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain and service heating, cooling, Air Handling Units (AHU), Fresh Air Handling Units (FAHU) and Fan Coil Units (FCU).
• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot ventilation and exhaust fans to guarantee proper indoor air quality.
• Monitor, analyze and adjust system parameters to optimise performance, reliability and energy consumption.
• Ensure compliance with JEMS requirements and all Fire, Life, Health and Safety (FLHS) standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) of hands‑on experience in HVAC maintenance within a hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of HEX systems, refrigeration cycles, CRAC units and HVAC control systems.
• Ability to work safely, keep plant rooms clean and follow documented procedures.
