Hygiene Officer – Luxury Hospitality

About the role

The Hygiene Officer will ensure that all food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards are consistently met across the property. You will work closely with culinary, stewarding and F&B teams to uphold the highest level of cleanliness and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Conduct regular hygiene inspections and audits in food preparation and service areas.
• Monitor and maintain HACCP procedures and food safety management systems.
• Coordinate routine microbiological and water quality testing.
• Deliver hygiene and food safety training sessions for team members.
• Investigate hygiene‑related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate hygiene records, reports and documentation.
• Support pre‑opening hygiene initiatives, audits and operational readiness activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Safety, Hospitality Management, Environmental Health or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a hygiene or food safety role, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• HACCP certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Previous pre‑opening experience is preferred.
