Information Technology Risk Manager

About the role

The Information Technology Risk Manager will lead the identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation of IT risks across the bank. This role ensures that risk management practices align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and emerging technology considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures while complying with AML/CTF, KYC, fraud detection, and cyber‑security regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive IT risk assessments covering systems, processes, and infrastructure, documenting findings and aligning them with the bank’s risk appetite.
• Manage third‑party and vendor risks, leading risk‑management activities and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
• Identify and assess risks related to emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing and digital platforms, establishing governance for new technology adoption.
• Handle IT risk‑related escalations, support post‑incident reviews, and translate lessons learned into improved controls.
• Promote an IT risk awareness culture, collaborate with business, technology and risk teams, and provide guidance to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or a risk‑related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 5‑8 years of IT experience, preferably within a banking environment.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to drive risk concepts across the organization.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated good judgment, poise and maturity when interacting with managers, customers and other functions.
