Instrument Technician (Level III)

About the role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for an Instrument Technician (Level III) in Al-Jubail. The role leads, supervises and coordinates daily instrument maintenance activities for the plant, equipment and facilities within a defined area of responsibility, acting as the focal point for the daily maintenance execution plan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise technicians assigned to the area, ensuring they follow SATORP's safety and quality procedures.
• Follow up on maintenance work progress and submit regular progress reports to the Instrument foreman with recommendations.
• Keep records of daily maintenance work against planned programmes and prepare work completion reports where applicable.
• Work with the Instrument foreman to recommend and implement changes that improve the availability and reliability of instrument systems.
• Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements to instrument equipment.
• Ensure personnel have the skills, training, resources, equipment and tools needed to carry out routine maintenance safely, in line with contract terms.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years' experience in oil and gas maintenance with a high school diploma, or minimum 4 years with a diploma.
• Valid certification from a recognised third-party body or an accredited Saudi institute.
• Proactive safety behaviour and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good command of spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Maintaining and repairing instrument systems, including mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of instrument equipment design, installation and maintenance.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance principles and procedures.
• Standards, procedures and regulations for health, safety and environmental protection.
